1. WHAT IS THE SHARKS QUIZ?

Produced by Africa Schools Online and endorsed by the Ministry of Education, The Sharks Quiz is a single-elimination academic team competition open to all junior and senior high school students in Ghana.
It is typically a question and answer game played in four (4) rounds between two (2) teams of four (4) players each. Each team has one stand by.

Questions on the show focuses on the four key competencies: Literacy, Numeracy, STEM and Social Literacy.

2. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE INTHE SHARKS QUIZ?

All public, private and international high schools in Ghana are eligible to participate; students must be at a level equivalent to grades 7 – 9 for (Shark Juniors), 10-12 (Shark Seniors). Each team must be supervised by at least one (1) adult coach. Each team must include four (4) participating students and one (1) alternate.

Participating students must be currently enrolled in the school they represent, in grades 7-9 (Juniors), 10 – 12 (Seniors) Participating schools may register a maximum of one (1) team per level.
Only schools that have officially registered and meet the eligibility requirements are invited to take part in the quiz.

It is strongly recommended that teams and coaches watch past episodes of The Sharks Quiz on our YouTube channel to become familiar with the format, pacing, and the types of questions common to The Sharks Quiz.
